Online payments

Charge your customers online, in your name, with Stripe

On the Pro plan you connect your own Stripe account: money goes straight to your bank, in your company's name, without Pool Service Hub touching it. You send the payment link, the customer pays by card or SEPA direct debit and the receipt updates automatically.

How a receipt gets paid

  1. 1

    Connect Stripe once

From Invoicing → Settings you authorise your Stripe account (or create one). It is your account: funds reach your bank.

  2. 2

    Send the payment link

Every quote or receipt has its link. Send it by email or WhatsApp and the customer pays from their phone.

  3. 3

    Stripe confirms the payment

When payment completes, Stripe notifies us securely and the document is marked paid without you touching anything.

  4. 4

    No manual reconciliation

Card payments confirm instantly; SEPA direct debits stay 'processing' until the bank confirms them.

Saved cards and SEPA direct debit

Saved card with consent

If the customer opts in when paying, their card is stored securely in Stripe and following receipts are charged automatically.

SEPA direct debit

The customer signs the mandate online with their IBAN, or you enter it if they already authorised you. Charges confirm within a few days.

Failures and reversals

If a SEPA charge is returned by the bank or a card fails, the receipt goes back to pending, flagged for retry or another method.

Transparent fee

Pool Service Hub applies 0.8% per online payment, plus Stripe's standard fees settled in your own account.

Your account, your money, your name

We use Stripe Connect with standard accounts: each company connects its own, with its own trading name and IBAN. The customer sees your company on their bank statement, not ours.

We never mark a payment as paid from a return URL: only Stripe's signed confirmation updates the receipt. And a quote paid online is locked against duplicate manual records.

Online payments FAQ

Do I need an existing Stripe account?+

No. When connecting from the app you can create one on the spot with your company details. If you already have one, just authorise it.

What fees apply?+

Stripe charges its standard rates per method (card or SEPA) and Pool Service Hub adds 0.8% per online transaction. Manually recorded payments have no fee at all.

Can I still take cash or bank transfers?+

Yes. Online payment is optional per receipt: you can always record a manual payment with its method and reference.
