How much do you really earn at every stop on your route?

Many flat-rate pools lose money without anyone noticing: the one 15 km away, the one under trees, the one that always needs extra product. Enter your numbers and see the real margin of each stop.

The flat-rate trap

Charging every pool the same is convenient, but the cost of each stop varies a lot. Drive time and mileage to an isolated pool can cost more than the service itself.

A technician's real hourly cost is not their take-home pay: it includes payroll taxes, holidays, non-billable hours and training. For an owner-operator, it's what you need to cover taxes, expenses and your own salary.

How to read the result

  1. 1

    Green: healthy margin

Margin at or above your target. Keep the rate and review prices once a year.

  2. 2

    Yellow: tight margin

You earn a little, but any surprise wipes it out. Raise the fee at renewal or group the stop with nearby pools.

  3. 3

    Red: losing money

Every visit costs you. Apply the minimum fee, reduce winter frequency or consider dropping the client.

Zone routing: the fastest saving

Grouping visits by area cuts drive minutes and mileage without touching your rates. Going from 15 to 7 minutes between stops on a 10-pool route frees more than an hour a day.

Pool Service Hub orders the technician's day, records the real arrival time with GPS check-in and stores each visit's duration, so you can feed this calculator with real data instead of guesses.
